The program at Siena Heights was great for me because as a working adult, I have many responsibilities that I have to pay attention to and I really wanted to get the degree. The Health Care Leadership M.A. program is intended for individuals who have five or more years of work experience in a health care-related profession.

The focus of the program is the personal and professional development of the individual as a facilitator and manager of change in self, others and organizations, with a focus on the specific needs and characteristics of health care organizations.

Students learn to apply administrative theories, models, and principles learned in program courses through a practicum experience at a health service organization or other health-related setting.

American College of Healthcare Executives Regents Honors Graduate College Coordinator of Health Care Leadership Program

 

 

 

On June 24, 2010, Associate Professor of Leadership and Dr. John Fick received the 2010 American College of Healthcare Executives Regents’ Distinguished Faculty Award at the Michigan Hospital Association meeting on Mackinac Island. john-fick.jpg

 

Joseph Tasse, FACHE ACHE regent for Michigan and president of St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, presented Fick with the award.

 

Fick is the coordinator of the Graduate College’s health care leadership program at the Metro Detroit Center.
