Meet the Staff

Dr. Jennifer Hanson joined Siena Heights in August 2007 after a long career living and working overseas. Her last position was at the American University in Dubai, where she served as Dean of Student Services. She was married in Yemen and chose to raise her children overseas so they would have the chance to interact with people from around the world. She has also lived in England, Lebanon and Turkey. She has visited over 30 countries. She has taught English as a Second Language, Reading and Intercultural Communication. As a committed interculturalist/internationalist, it is her heartfelt mission to help build and sustain an institution that welcomes all those from various cultures, ethnic groups, religions, races, and economic backgrounds. She is energized to continue to build and develop Siena Heights University’s division of International Student Services.
