The Siena Heights Saints Softball team lost their opening round WHAC Tournament game on Friday. The game was started on Thursday, but called in the 3rd inning because of rain. The Saints found themselves starting in a 4-1 deficit. Unfortunately, for the Saints the Crusaders picked up right where they left off the day before. Madonna plated four runs in the third and went on to the 10-1 victory.
Dani Bailey started on the mound and took the loss for the Saints. Amanda Flannery went 2-for-3 with a run scored to highlight the Saints offense.
Siena Heights will now play the loser of the Indiana Tech/Davenport game at 5 pm today.
