The Siena Heights Men’s Soccer lost their 2009 Alumni Weekend game 2-0 to Cornerstone. The Saints outshot the Golden Eagles by a total of 22-14 but could not find the back of the net. Siena Heights controlled much of the play in the first half when they had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks and a 9-5 edge in shots. The game remained deadlocked at zero until the Golden Eagles broke through with two goals in less than two minutes at the 55th minute and 57th minute. Siena Heights had several opportunities to climb back into it, but they just could not find the back of the net. Andy Klenner took the loss in the net as he made four saves.
The Saints will now be off until next Saturday when they host Aquinas College at 3:00 pm.
