The Siena Heights Men’s Soccer game lost a pivotal match today. The Saints need every point possible to make the WHAC playoffs. However, the 2-0 defeat to Indiana Tech today does not knock them out of the playoffs; the Saints road will become a lot harder.
After the Saints had several good scoring opportunities, the Warriors netted the first goal in the 33rd minute. Siena Heights stayed in the game continually creating scoring chances, but Indiana Tech slipped in another goal in the 73rd minute to seal the Saints fate.
The Saints outshot Indiana Tech 13-9 and had a 4-1 edge in corner kicks in the second half.
Siena Heights now has two regular season games. Both games are going to be almost must wins if the Saints are to make the playoffs. The Saints travel to Madonna on Saturday and travel to Davenport on the 31st.
