SHU, WCC Reach Art Articulation Agreements

Agreements Are for Photography, Graphic Design Degree Programs

The art departments at Siena Heights University and Washtenaw Community College recently reached articulation agreements allowing WCC graduates to seamlessly transfer to Siena Heights’ four-year graphic design and photography degree programs.

“This articulation agreement allows for art majors to seamlessly transfer from Washtenaw Community College to Siena Heights University,” said SHU Director of Admissions Sara Johnson. “Transfer students work hard and should be rewarded for completing their associate’s degree. This agreement recognizes these students and allows them to pursue their four-year baccalaureate degree without the anxiety of losing out on the credit they have already earned. Students can feel good about transferring from one quality program into another.”

“The Art Department was excited to create articulation agreements with WCC in photography and graphic design because they have excellent technology facilities and quality courses,” said Christine Reising, chair of SHU’s art department. “These characteristics make the bridge between the institutions compatible. Students will get their introductory courses at Washtenaw and will have the opportunity to hone those skills in advanced work at Siena.”
