Sibs & Kids Weekend March 21-22

Weekend Designed for Younger Brothers, Sisters, Cousins of SHU Students to Visit Campus

Attention, families of current Siena Heights University students: SHU is excited to present Sibs and Kids Weekend March 21-22, 2009. The weekend is designed for younger brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. of Siena students to come and visit campus with their older siblings.

This will be a great weekend for our Siena Family, and we hope your family will join us! Our brand new mascot, Halo, is excited to meet you and have you join him on campus for the weekend!

The offices of Student Activities, Residence Life and Public Safety are working together to make this weekend a wonderful experience for all while maintaining safety on campus. Along these lines, a few guidelines have been outlined.

  • First, sibs and kids must be between the ages of 5 and 18.
  • Second, a maximum of three sibs and kids per Siena student has been set. Activities will be available for children of different age ranges.

All sibs and kids must have a registration form (please see the PDF attachment below) returned. Please also refer to the tentative schedule for the weekend (PDF attachment below).

When the registration form is received, we will provide you with a public safety form and contact information for emergencies! Please be aware that there is a low cost for sibs and kids to attend the weekend, which will cover all meals, activities and a T-shirt. We ask that registration forms and checks or money orders be returned to Siena Heights by March 6, 2009, so that we can plan accordingly for the weekend’s festivities. Please see the fee scale on the Registration Form.

All parents and guardians of Siena Heights students are invited to a Family Brunch on Sunday, March 21, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be a $5/person cost for brunch. Following the brunch, parents are invited to a Parents’ Meeting to talk with administrators and staff.

Those with questions should contact Director of Student Activities Deanna Wagner at 517-264-7607 or
