Africa Day on Campus April 20

All-Day Cultural Event Features Dinner, Marketplace


The International Club and the Department of International Studies will sponsor Africa Day on campus April 20.

The event, scheduled from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. around campus, will feature an African marketplace from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in front of Benincasa Dining Hall, a cultural artifacts display from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in Sage Union and a dinner featuring music, dance and a fashion show at 6 p.m. in the fieldhouse.

Halim El-Dabh, professor emeritus of African Ethnomusicology at Kent State University, will be the special guest performer.
