The Patrick Irwin Scholarship

At Siena, our mission of helping people become more competent, purposeful and ethical permeates into every aspect of the university. One of our endowed scholarships, The Patrick Irwin Scholarship, takes our mission to heart and helps others realize their true potential.

The Patrick Irwin Scholarship at Siena Heights specifically aims to help first-generation students who would otherwise not be able to attend college. Ms. Betty Cummings, a Siena Heights’ graduate and current trustee, established the scholarship in honor of fellow alumnus Patrick Irwin and his work with young people.

An interesting feature of this endowed scholarship is that student winners are eligible for renewal during all four years of their schooling. This enables them to concentrate on their studies without fear of losing funding and their place at Siena. The students who have been given this life-changing opportunity truly appreciate the chance to succeed.

The scholarship itself shows how one alumna is honoring another alumnus who is helping “future alumni” find their place here at Siena Heights.

Those who would like to contribute to the Patrick Irwin Endowed Scholarship can contact the Advancement Office at 1-800-693-0506 or donate online by visiting our secure webpage at . Please make sure to designate your gift to the Patrick Irwin Endowed Scholarship.
