The Graduate Teacher Education program at Siena Heights University provides opportunities for professional educators to strengthen and extend their skills as well as their employment options.  Siena faculty members, student peers, and alumni form a useful network for developing employment contacts and sharing information about employment opportunities.  Graduate Teacher Education program students have earned the following certifications/endorsements and found employment in the following specialties:

Teaching, Administrative, and Human Services Positions

  • Principals, assistant principals, and other administrative positions at traditional, charter, and alternative secondary and elementary schools
  • Curriculum specialists and other posts at intermediate school districts
  • Classroom teachers in public and private schools (grades preK-12)
  • Preschool, Head Start, and Montessori program teachers and administrators
  • Math and literacy intervention specialists
  • Reading specialists (after earning “BR” endorsement)
  • Migrant family educational and other support positions
  • College-level instructors
