SHU on Recruitment Trip to Ghana, Nigeria This Summer

Director of International Studies Dr. Jennifer Hanson is currently in Ghana, West Africa, through July 8 recruiting students for Siena Heights.

Hanson is visiting high schools, churches, universities and EducationUSA offices. Siena Heights currently has four Ghanaian students on campus.

Hanson said initial efforts are going well, with more than 50 students submitting their applications to Siena Heights for the fall semester. Fields of study Ghanaians have shown interest in include criminal justice, business, pre-medicine, art, theater and computer science.

Following her time in Ghana, she will travel to Nigeria to continue her recruiting trip. In Nigeria, in addition to promoting SHU to high schools, universities and EducationUSA offices, she will also meet with American consulate officers and officials.
