Theatre Siena Presents "Into the Woods"

Show is Scheduled for March 29-31 in Francoeur Theatre

“Into the Woods” is set to take the stage March 29-31 in Francoeur Theatre on the campus of Siena Heights University. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and based on the book by James Lapine, “Into the Woods” is a hilarious and fantastical musical, interweaving “Cinderella,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” “The Baker's Wife,” “Jack and the Beanstalk” and “Rapunzel.” “Into the Woods” is directed by Siena Heights Professor of Theatre and Speech Mark DiPietro, with musical direction by Jonathan Sills.

This play features a multi-layered plot which ends happily in Act One, then explores “happily ever after” in Act Two. “Into the Woods” celebrates choices, companionship and a magical company of special characters appealing to both adults and children.

Curtain times are at 8 p.m. March 29, 30 and 31. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for Siena Heights University students and staff.
