We were excited about the opportunity to open the new fieldhouse. I don’t remember much else about the first game other than us being very excited that we had our own place to play, and that we were actually playing a home game.
The inaugural Basketball Tailgate and Reception in Cleveland, Ohio, turned out a number of Siena Heights alumni and friends. The event preceded the men’s basketball game between the Saints and nearby Notre Dame College.
This photograph was taken out of the SHU Archives and is a composite picture of the class of 1934. The institution was still known as St. Joseph’s College and was celebrating its 15th anniversary.

"Seeds Scattered and Grown," the second volume of Adrian Dominican history written by Sister Nadine Foley, OP, ’45, is now available. The book chronicles the Adrian Dominican history from 1924-1933, the Mother Augustine Walsh years.
The Siena Heights University Phone-A-Thon closed the fall calling session on Nov. 30 by setting records in both dollars pledged and donors. In a little over two weeks, student callers were able to raise $72,184 in pledges from 1,345 donors. This surpassed last year’s record of $71,415 pledged from 1,092 donors, respectively.
