This information is intended for Continuing Students who have applied for Financial Aid in the previous academic year.

Step 1
  • All current PIN holders are required to “activate” their PIN for added security against identity theft. PIN activation is required only once. To activate your PIN, go to www.pin.ed.gov Activate PIN and select the “Activate My PIN” link.
    NOTE:
    If your PIN has been inactive for more than 30 months, you must re-establish your pin. To re-establish your PIN, go to www.pin.ed.gov Activate PIN and select the “Re-establish My PIN” link.
  • Complete the Renewal FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 for the upcoming academic year as there are filing deadlines for state aid eligibility.
  • Complete and submit the Employer Tuition Benefit form for the appropriate academic year. (See address or fax in Step 2 below for submission)

  • Complete and submit the Federal Stafford Loan Request form for the appropriate academic year. (See address and/or fax # in Step 2 below for submission). This is form is required for all continuing students who have previously taken out a Federal Stafford Loan. Please note the deadlines for submission of the form.
  • Both forms must be completed each year that you are enrolled at Siena Heights University. 

Step 2

  • If your application is chosen for verification you will be required to complete either the dependent or independent verification worksheet and provide copies of your and/or your parents (if applicable) completed and signed federal income tax return (IRS Form 1040, 1040EZ, 1040A or TeleFile Tax Record: The Telefile copy must contain the 10-digit IRS confirmation # and be signed by the filer anywhere at the bottom of the form).
