Summer Courses Begin May 9 at SHU

Siena Heights University will again offer affordable college credit courses for its 2018 summer sessions.

With a tuition rate as low as $326 per credit hour and the possibility for some federal financial aid assistance, courses are open to area high school students who want to get a jump on college credit, or to students currently attending other colleges or universities.

“Siena Heights is responding by offering area residents home from college for the summer the opportunity to get a jump on their education, or accelerate their degree timelines,” said SHU Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Dr. Matt Draud. “I invite students to take advantage of this offer of quality education at an affordable price this summer.”

This year, additional prerequisite courses such as Introduction to Business, Reading and Writing, General Physics and Human Anatomy and Physiology are on the summer schedule, as well as some online courses. In addition, those students who are not Lenawee County residents and want to stay on campus while attending class this summer can stay in the University’s Campus Village apartment-style complex at a reduced rate. For more information on housing, contact Residence Life Office at 517-264-7171 or reslife@sienaheights.edu.

The first session begins May 9 with a second session starting June 30. Classes will fill quickly. Students currently attending other colleges or universities should also contact the Registrar’s office at their home institution for a guest application form.
