Siena Heights University's Theatre Siena will present Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” April 6-8 in Francoeur Theater.
Beginning in his humble boyhood with his sister and her husband, the play follows Pip through his encounter with the escaped convict Magwitch; his experiences with Miss Havisham and Estella; and on to his time in London where after his “expectations” are mysteriously made known, Pip aspires to become a gentleman. The show is directed by SHU Professor of Theater Mark DiPietro.

Alumni Dinner and the Theater Event April 8
Theatre Siena and the Siena Heights Alumni Office is again hosting the popular Dinner & the Theater event for the April 8 showing of “Great Expectations.” Enjoy a wine reception, music and an elegant dinner. Meet the director and cast members and learn more from guest speaker SHU Assistant Professor of English Dr. Julie Barst.
Cost is $35 per person and includes dinner and admission to the show. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. in Benincasa Hall with dinner at 6:15 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by Harry “Dusty” Steele Independent Financial Advisor and Monaghan P.C.
