'RENT' Opens Theatre Siena Season

Theatre Siena at Siena Heights University opens its 2013-14 season with the musical “RENT” from Oct. 3-5 in Francoeur Theater on the Adrian campus.

Set in the East Village of New York City, “RENT” is a story of falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Based loosely on Puccini’s La Boheme,” Jonathon Larson’s “RENT” follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musician struggling to survive and create in New York’s lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The production is directed by SHU Professor of Theater Doug Miller.

Curtain times are at 8 p.m. each evening. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $8 for seniors and students.
