Adrian Campus to Begin Fall Classes Aug. 25

As the University looks to reopen the Adrian campus this fall, it has been decided that classes will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 25, instead of the original Monday, Aug. 31 start date. The earlier start to the semester also means that there will be classes conducted on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, and on Friday, Oct. 23.

Because of the earlier semester start, in-person classes will end at the Thanksgiving break (Tuesday, Nov. 24). Classes on the Adrian campus will then move online and/or to a remote learning environment for the remainder of the semester. However, the campus will remain open for any students who wish to remain on campus. Fall CAS classes will then end on Friday, Dec. 11.

Finally, check-in for fall residential students will be staggered and the freshmen welcome experience will be modified so social distancing guidelines can be maintained. COVID testing protocol for students, faculty and staff is still being finalized. More information will be announced on these specific decisions in the coming weeks.

More information about the 2020-21 academic year will be announced as details and plans are finalized.
