Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Call for Third-Party Comments

Siena Heights University Baccalaureate Nursing programs will be hosting an on-site visit from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE is a nationally recognized accrediting agency for baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in nursing education.

The site visit is scheduled for September 18-20, 2024, for reaccreditation of our prelicensure and RN to BSN completion baccalaureate nursing programs. CCNE policy mandates the program provide an opportunity for colleagues, constituents, and the community of interest to submit written input for the visiting evaluation team. You are invited to participate in this process, along with students, alumni, faculty, and employees. Comments are provided directly to CCNE.

Written third-party comments regarding programs must be received by CCNE by no later than 21 days prior to the first day of the scheduled on-site evaluation (Due: August 28th). Only signed comments are accepted by CCNE. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that relate to the accreditation standards. All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English.

If you would like to submit a third-party comment for the SHU Nursing program, please submit your comments to: https://www.aacnnursing.org/ccne-accreditation/what-we-do/current-accreditation-reviews
